Program Schedule

Monday Controls Workshop ($85, max 20 ppl):

Workshop attendees will learn about modeling, device and control design, and experimental testing of wave energy converters. To reinforce classroom concepts, attendees will have the opportunity to work with a model-scale wave energy converter in a series of experiments in the Navy’s Maneuvering and Sea Keeping (MASK) basin.

Thursday Carderock Tour ($40, max 45 ppl)

Tour attendees will have a chance to visit the Navy’s Maneuvering and Sea Keeping (MASK) basin to witness testing conducted by Sandia National Labs on wave energy converter control and power-take off (PTO) design.
